The dollar accumulated 0.5% contrary to the yen on Mon after the USA and China decided on Sunday to restart business discussions as U.S. Leader Donald Trump presented concessions on different tariffs and limitations on tech provider Huawei.
The dollar increased to 108.48 yen, stretching its recovery from near six-month lower of 106.78 fixed last Tuesday although it also increased 0.3% contrary to the Swiss franc, another safe-haven money, to 0.97935 francs.
